On June 3, 2016, Kyocera Precision Tools (Ganzhou) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as KPTG), a joint venture between Kyocera Corporation and the group company, held a completion and production ceremony in the hard alloy factory area of the group company and achieved complete success.

It is understood that since its foundation was laid on June 28, 2015, KPTG has completed the construction of over 18000 square meters of factory buildings and purchased over 180 sets of basic equipment in just one year. Currently, it has more than 40 high-quality employees and has initially developed the production capacity of cutting tools. The overall project progress is stable and rapid, Its establishment is expected to create a benchmark production base in Ganzhou that has a significant impact in the national and even global hard alloy industry. Its establishment will continue to drive the overall improvement of the entire group company in terms of raw material, alloy product, and even management.

KPTG is Kyocera's fourth mechanical tool production base in China, following Dongguan, Zhuhai, and Shanghai. Its establishment aims to quickly respond to the expanding demand of the Chinese cutting tool market with the growing automotive industry, and also means that Kyocera's mechanical tool business has achieved production integration in China.
